Teachers from Kyzylorda presented their research papers at the XXX European Conference ECER

Teachers from Nazarbayev Intellectual School of Kyzylorda — Malika Iskakova, Abzal Iskender, and Yerkin Zhomartov — participated in the XXX European Conference ECER-2024, held at the University of Cyprus in Nicosia.

The event saw around 3,000 participants from 75 countries. Educators, university lecturers, and professors presented their research findings on pressing educational issues.

Pedagogue-curator Malika Maratovna shared research results focused on identifying factors influencing student performance and proposed effective methods to address academic underachievement. She also discussed strategies for involving parents in school activities. Auli Tum, a professor from the University of Helsinki (Finland), praised the unique approaches to working with gifted children in Kazakhstan’s intellectual schools.

The conference addressed a range of topics, including inclusive education, the use of information technology in the educational process, professional education and development, student well-being, and modern teaching methods.

Abzal Iskender and Yerkin Zhomartov presented their pedagogical ideas on “Using the Heuristic Method of Teaching Physics through Problem-Based Learning.” They emphasized that applying the problem-based learning model enhances students’ problem-solving skills and fosters creative thinking.
