The international olympiad “Al-Farabi 2024” concluded at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Arayzhan Nartay, an 11th-grade student from the Intellectual School of Kyzylorda, secured the 2nd place in the subject of “Kazakh Language and Literature”.
This educational competition gathered talented students from Kazakhstan, as well as from neighboring and distant countries. Participants competed in three stages: completing test assignments in various subjects, writing essays, and solving situational problems. Arayzhan stood on the second tier of the podium of honor and was awarded an educational grant from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
It is worth noting that last year, Arayzhan was recognized as the winner of the republican creative competition “Why Do I Love Kazakhstan?” among students in grades 9-11.
Her interest in Kazakh language and literature arose thanks to the special teaching methodology of Gaukhar Abaykyzy:
“In every lesson, we engage in interesting tasks aimed at fostering a special respect for our native language. Our creative abilities are strengthened during exam preparation. Moreover, in the optional course ‘Essay Writing,’ we refine our writing skills through the analysis of literary works.”
