Meeting of the “Rukhaniyat” club

The popular work of Mukhtar Magauin “Tazynyn Olimi” (Death of a greyhound) was discussed by members of the school family reading club “Rukhaniyat” at the Nazarbayev Intellectual School in Kyzylorda.

The family reading club “Rukhaniyat” was created at the school in 2019 with the aim of creating a reading culture in the family. Over the years, it has gained more than 200 active participants who are actively getting acquainted with works of Kazakh literature.

At the latest gathering, the members of the club collectively selected Mukhtar Magauin’s narrative “Tazynyn Olimi” for shared reading. Parents and students shared their impressions of the book during discussions and revealed the spiritual and moral values of the work. During the practical session, participants utilized the Tarsia method to compare questions with answers, subsequently constructing a pyramid based on the contents of the book.

“Introducing a child to a book is impossible without the help of the family, since it is the parents who act as the first and main guide between the book and the child, choose and buy children’s publications, and advise what is best to read,” says teacher-librarian Bagdat Tulepbergenova.
