In order to develop academic potential and skills of design and research activities, as well as assistance in the comprehensive socio-aesthetic development of students in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, a Summer School has been organized annually since 2012.

The Summer School offers intensive study of certain subjects in combination with extracurricular activities. The summer school is conducted by teachers and foreign teachers of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, as well as invited teachers and scientists of local and foreign universities. The duration of Summer schools is no more than 2 weeks.

The summer School is a platform for the development of research activities and critical thinking skills of students, deepening academic knowledge, where conditions are created for combining recreation and learning according to the interests of students in academic, sports and creative areas. Students participate in the Summer School on a voluntary basis. The content of the courses is formed from the requests of students and the personnel potential of each Intellectual School.
The Summer School carries out its activities in accordance with the Instructions for organizing the work of the Summer School in Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools, approved by the decision of the Board of AEO “Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools” dated April 29, 2019 (Protocol No. 15).

To enroll in the Summer School, an online application is submitted on the AOO website summerschool.nis.edu.kz legal representatives and is considered accepted only after receiving its confirmation on the website.

All activities of the summer school are aimed at developing project work skills, developing leadership skills, functional literacy, critical thinking of students and presentation skills.
