A volleyball sports contest among NIS students was held in Astana. The students of NIS Kyzylorda distinguished themselves in the competitions and were awarded in two nominations: “Best Defender” – Aruzhan Myrzabekova, “Best striker” -Alikhan Baymenov.

About 130 young athletes from Kyzylorda, Aktau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Aktobe, Taraz, Pavlodar and Atyrau took part in the sports contest. For two days, the teams showed interesting and exciting games.

– Our sports contests not only support interest in sports, they form a team spirit and unite schools, strengthen the NIS brotherhood, – said Aida Agadil, Deputy Director of the Development Department of the Intellectual Schools.

According to the results of the contest among young men, gold medals were won by students of the intellectual school of physics and mathematics in Astana, the second place was taken by volleyball players from Taraz, and the players of the capital’s school of international baccalaureate took the third place.

Among the girls, the first place was taken by the team of the intellectual school of physics and mathematics in Astana, NIS students of chemistry and biology in Almaty took the second place, the third position was taken by schoolchildren from Ust-Kamenogorsk.
