South Korea on the Line

In pursuit of enhancing language skills and promoting ideas of global citizenship, 8th grade students of the Intellectual School of Kyzylorda held a conference with students from Peniel Middle School of the Arts in South Korea.

Facilitated through a teleconference, students from both countries presented their favourite books, talked about the content, and shared insightful episodes from the selected literary pieces. Within the course of the dialogue, the participants discussed the features of their national cultures and exchanged contact information for further communication.

“Despite the distinctions characterising our two nations, we were able to understand each other thanks to our shared command of the English language. South Korean students are very cheerful people. Our discussions encompassed topics ranging from educational pursuits and traditional cuisine to cultural diversity and beyond. This meeting inspired me to engage with renowned literary works from other countries, further improving my English proficiency,” shared Alsina Adilbekkyzy.
