“Bata (blessing) is a precious treasure of the Kazakh people with great educational value. It has great power to influence the human mind. People who have been blessed believe in goodness and believe that there will be prosperity,” says Kudaibergen Mukhamediyarov.

Orazbai Kosanov, the grandfather of the 9th grader Aktilek Kosanov, especially respects the traditions that have been passed down from generation to generation for centuries, and at today’s competition, he donated his collection of blessings and wishes to the school library.

“Bata is a significant heritage of our people, our national treasure. Therefore, it is the duty of elders like us to instill this into the minds and hearts of the next generation,” says the elder.

In the competition, which was held in order to encourage the young generation to grow up to be kind, intelligent and brave, the elders gave their blessings on various topics and dedicated their words of edification to the younger ones.
