11th grade student of the Priaralye Intellectual School Araylym Kuandyk took second place in the republican stage of the International Olympiad “IESO-2023” and got a ticket to the final.

About 100 schoolchildren took part in the annual competitions this year, who competed in knowledge of such disciplines as geology, meteorology, oceanography and astronomy. Arailym showed good results and got a place in the national team of Kazakhstan, which will represent the country at the international stage of IESO.

– Geography is my favorite subject. I am especially fond of geology. In the future, I want to do project work, study various natural elements and the environment.

We would like to remind that IESO is one of the most prestigious educational competitions in the world. Since 2007, the Olympiad has been held in such countries as Korea, Spain, Brazil, Japan, France, and Russia. This year, Italy has taken the baton and will determine the name of the best geologist in the world in August.
